The Matheson History Museum and the League of Women Voters of Alachua County (LWVAC) are partnering together to present “Building Resilience to Mis/Dis Information.” LWVAC members Alison Keel, Gwendolyn D. Saffo, and Candy Birch will lead the workshop. This is a two-part workshop designed to help citizens recognize and build immunity to mis and disinformation.
- Part 1 defines terms and identifies types and tactics used in mis and disinformation.
- Part 2 offers strategies for responsible engagement and active participation with others.
This workshop is a companion program to the Smithsonian traveling exhibition “Voices and Votes: Democracy in America.” September 7th is the last day it will be on display at the Matheson History Museum.
